Volunteers play an integral role in assisting our facility to accomplish our mission of enriching the quality of life for the individuals and families that we serve.  Join our volunteer team and discover how rewarding it is to share your time and talents with the residents and tenants of Country Manor Campus.  Strengthen your connection with your community as you meet new friends and develop lasting relationships.  We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available and we will work with you to construct a schedule that will accommodate your lifestyle.  Volunteer opportunities are available within the Country Manor Health Care Center, Champion Rehab, Rapid Recovery & Aquatic Center or one of our Independent Senior Living options.

Available Volunteer Positions:

Activities Assistant

Activities assistants will assist in the implementation of scheduled activities from our daily calendar. Assisting with activities can involve a variety of tasks for the volunteer including in assisting with activity set up, getting needed supplies, helping to implement the activity by being involved, and assisting with clean up.

Country Store Attendant

The Country Store Attendant assist our customers with everything from soda, coffee, snacks, and other items for the customer’s convenience. Volunteers are responsible to run the Country Store and will be available to assist customers in finding items and ringing up their purchases. Volunteers are also responsible for basic cash register operation, and some gentle cleaning (i.e. wiping down counters, tables, etc.). Volunteers in the Country Store need to be able to commit to one shift per week for a 4 hour period of time, call Jason or Gail if interested.

Cards/Game Player

This volunteer position's purpose is to provide social and mental stimulation for a resident or small group of tenants through game playing. Volunteer's primary responsibility is to initiate cards, cribbage, or board games with an assigned tenant or group of tenants. Volunteers may play games with tenants in their apartment or in neighborhood dayrooms and other public areas.

Gardener

Assist in maintaining campus flower beds and gardens throughout the summer season! Enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise while you volunteer! Help is needed weeding, watering, tilling, etc.

Outing and Excursion assistant

Assist in taking small groups of tenants out into the community for various activities. Volunteer's primary responsibility while on the outings is to pair up with a tenants to assist them to make the experience more enjoyable. Volunteers can choose to ride along in the van if there is room or they may choose to meet at the outing location.
